In true Ariana fashion, I’ve lapsed in posting these past few…months. And a lot has been happening behind the scenes. So, let’s hit the high points, shall we?
We’re pregnant!
Currently 29 weeks pregnant with a baby boy! Due in early March, and feeling all sorts of emotions as the date creeps closer and closer. We’re so excited to meet our son, and I am extremely grateful to have had a healthy, happy pregnancy so far. Using these last eleven (!!) weeks to read and absorb as much as I can, and am SO excited to finally be able to start “nesting” in just a few short days because….
We moved out of Philly, and bought a house in the ‘burbs!
We’re officially no longer Philadelphia residents. After nearly a decade in one of our favorite cities, it was time to say goodbye. A third-floor walkup apartment above a DJ didn’t seem like the most “baby friendly” environment ;). We packed up our place at the end of last week, and are spending these next few days at our parents homes before settling on a new construction house in our hometown later this week!
This weekend proved to be more chaotic and stressful than we initially anticipated, because our landlord accidentally started the lease for the new tenants for Sunday, when we were supposed to have until the end of the month to finish clearing out, and cleaning up, the residence. After some frantic phone calls, and with the assistance of our incredible parents and friends, we wrapped up our time on Broad Street by Sunday afternoon. It’s very bitter sweet to be officially out of PHL, but, knowing that we have an incredible home awaiting us in just a few short days takes the sting out of leaving the city away.
Now we’re just trying to gear up for the holidays, finalize some last minute move-in things, scouting out furniture and decor for the new digs, and planning out the nursery! We’re feeling especially blessed to have the opportunity to find a home that we love in this real estate market, to be closer to our parents in a community we love, and to bring our baby boy home to this space this Spring!
Needless to say….it’s been a whirlwind in these parts lately! I’m grateful for all the life changes happening, and new chapters ahead. Hoping to lean into this space a little more often as I navigate the exciting world of turning our house into a home, and figuring out precisely what my preferred “style” of home decor is. Current Pinterest searches keep bringing me back to “transitional french country” so keep an eye out for what that looks like, haha. Please share any and all of your favorite home decor websites, tips, and tricks in the comments below–I’ll take any and all inspiration you have to offer!
For now, sending well wishes to you and your families this holiday season.
xoxo,
Ariana
